This basic drone flight course is designed for those who want to start using drones correctly, safely, and to understand systematic flight techniques.

It covers everything from basic knowledge of drone control, equipment operation, flight planning, to relevant laws and regulations in Thailand.

 

This course emphasizes experiential learning. Students will experiment, practice, and understand drone flight in a safe environment.

To build confidence in practical use, whether for personal learning, hobbies, or future advancement.

Both group and private lessons are available.

This course is a fundamental requirement for those wishing to advance to commercial aviation or advanced specialized applications. The content focuses on building a solid understanding from the outset of aviation, safety, and CAAT regulations, enabling learners to confidently apply their knowledge in real-world situations and systematically progress to more advanced courses.

What you will learn

This course is designed to establish a systematic foundation in drone flight, emphasizing safety, deep understanding, and sound decision-making. The objective is to enable participants to confidently control drones in real operational situations.

 

Theory Session (Approximately 30%)

 

• Principles of drone flight and unmanned aircraft systems (UAV)

• Thailand aviation safety regulations and requirements (CAAT / NBTC)

• Aviation safety concepts, risk assessment, and human factors

• International UAV knowledge to broaden understanding beyond Thai regulations

(Referenced from international frameworks such as EASA and FAA for knowledge and safety principles)

• Mission planning, decision-making, and handling unexpected situations

 

Practical Training (Approximately 70%)

 

• Step-by-step fundamental drone control techniques

• Progressive flight training through simulated and real-world scenarios

• Developing situational awareness during flight operations

• Decision-making under pressure to minimize operational errors

• Building confidence in drone control and risk management

Basic Drone Flight Curriculum Structure

This course uses an easy-to-understand, step-by-step learning style to enable learners to apply the knowledge in real-world situations.

 

Teaching methods:

 

  • Theoretical part: Explained in simple, easy-to-understand language.

  • Practical session: Real flight training with close supervision from instructors.

  • Small groups to ensure learners receive thorough guidance.

  • Emphasis was placed on safety and flight discipline from the outset.

Equipment and systems used in training.

Students will practice flying with real equipment appropriate to the course level and designed for maximum safety throughout the training.

 

Equipment and systems used in learning:

 

We use current generation drones from DJI, which are industry standards and ideal for both training and real-world use.

  • Students do not need to own a personal drone. They can experiment with various drone models to compare and choose one that suits their budget and usage before making a purchase.

  • There are safety control systems in place during training, along with First Class Insurance covering the entire training period.

  • Both field and theoretical training takes place in air-conditioned classrooms equipped with large 85-inch (Full HD) screens for clear understanding and student comfort.

 

Note: All equipment is provided by the training center, allowing students to fully focus on learning without worrying about equipment availability.

Basic Drone Training Course

 

The Basic Drone Training course is a short-term program designed to be completed within a clearly defined timeframe. It is suitable for beginners who want to understand drone operations correctly and safely within a limited period.

 

Course Duration and Learning Format

 

Group Class Duration

Duration: 2 days

Training time: 10:00 – 16:00 (6 hours per day)

 

Private Class Duration

Duration: 1 day

Training time: 10:00 – 16:00 (6 hours)

 

Learning Format

 

The course combines both theoretical instruction and practical flight training within the same schedule. This integrated approach helps participants understand flight principles, safety considerations, and how to apply these skills in real operational situations.

 

Language of Instruction

 

The course can be conducted in Thai or English, depending on the participants’ preference.

 

Training Format

 

Classes are available in both group and private formats. The training content and pace can be adjusted to match the experience level and learning needs of each participant.

Note: Times may be adjusted depending on weather conditions or the suitability of field training.

This course is designed so that no prior drone flying experience is required. Beginners can participate with confidence, as instructors provide close supervision and guidance throughout the training.

No Previous Flight Experience Required

 

Participants who are starting from zero experience can join the course and learn step-by-step in a safe and supportive environment.

 

No Personal Drone Required

 

Participants do not need to own a drone. The training center provides several current DJI drone models for hands-on practice, allowing participants to learn, compare, and understand which type of drone best suits their budget, lifestyle, and intended use.

 

Course Structure

 

The program focuses on safety, understanding, and practical application. Whether you are a youth, an adult, or a senior participant, the course is structured to help each learner develop drone flying skills effectively.
